LOCAL COUNCIL GRANTS
From 00:01 on Tuesday 5th January 2021, Sheffield is in lockdown along with the rest of England.
There are new rules for businesses which may be different from the previous Tier restrictions. Find out how your business will be affected, if you should remain closed and what you need to do if you stay open from the government’s website.
The Chancellor has today announced that retail, hospitality and leisure businesses will receive a fresh round of grants to help them cope with the new lockdown measures. If a business is forced to close as a result of the restrictions, they will be entitled to:
- £4,000 if the property they occupy has a rateable value of £15,000 or less
- £6,000 if the property they occupy has a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000
- £9,000 if the property they occupy has a rateable value of over £51,000
The grants are per property and administered by local authorities in England.
If you would like any further advice on Business Grants that may be available to you and your business please give us a call or access your local council web page.
